Home Care for Teeth & Gums |

While we give you a thorough teeth cleaning on a regular basis, it is your responsibility to maintain your beautiful smile through daily tooth brushing and flossing.
The American Dental Association recommends the following for good oral hygiene:
- Brush your teeth twice a day with an ADA-accepted fluoride toothpaste. Replace your toothbrush every three or four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed. Do not use a worn toothbrush as it is not suitable for proper brushing. An electric toothbrush delivers great results if it is within your budget.
- Hold your toothbrush at a 45 degree angle in order to get in between the teeth and gums. Use a very short back-and-forth motion or a circular motion. Be sure to brush the outsides and insides, top and bottom.
- Clean between teeth daily with floss or an interdental cleaner. Decay–causing bacteria still linger between teeth where toothbrush bristles can’t reach. This helps remove plaque and food particles from between the teeth and under the gum line.
- Eat a balanced diet and limit between-meal snacks.
- Visit your dentist regularly for professional cleanings and oral exams.
